The gallery director, Thienny Lee inherited a long-standing family history of collecting and dealing with Buddhist and Hindu Sculptures that span more than 5 decades in Malaysia. Combining family passion and professionalism, Lee pursued and obtained an MA in Asian Art and Archaeology from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), University of London. She was also awarded PhD by the University of Sydney in the field of Asian Art and Textile. Driven by the passion and heritage in Asian Art and Archeology, Thienny Lee Gallery is strongly committed to and passionate about hosting a yearly group show of Asian Art, Vault of Asia, showcasing eclectic Asian Buddhist Sculptures alongside artworks demonstrate affiliation with Asia.
