— Opening reception: 6-8 pm, 27th April —
Croatian born figurative artist, Tony Belobrajdic divides his time between his studios in Croatia and Sydney. In this exhibition, Tony explores the relationships and interactions between man, animals and fish. Tony’s depictions either separating or putting them together, in usual and sometimes unusual situations. His paintings on these subjects are strong compositional works, juxtaposition between figurative and abstract, real and imaginary. Having worked full time on his art practice for over 30 years, Tony has exhibited both in Sydney and Europe.
“These latest works are part of an ongoing cycle depicting complicated relationships between man, animals and fish. It is an enduring process in finding the balance between evoking emotions and the desire to tell a story, to engage viewers in that search.” Tony Belobrajdic, 2017.
