Gallery
—Opening Reception: 2-4pm, Saturday 21 March—
In Connexion, Beverley Woollett explores the complex relationship between people and place by rendering human figure and landscape inseparable in her artwork. In this series of work, using mixed media and collages, Woollett superimposes human physical form onto the landscape, as if they were part of the hills and mountains, validating an intimate connection with the Earth. Through her mastery of both the landscape and life drawing tradition, Woollett inspires passion and heightens senses in her artwork as she interconnects narratives of human and landscape, as well as human in landscape.
“… I am leaving open to interpretation the role, or intent of the figure in each setting or even suggesting a more universal concept, questioning our relationship with the environment.” – Beverley Woollett
