Bush Euphoria by Catherine Stewart

Bush Euphoria is a collection of new work by multi-award-winning artist Catherine Stewart who explores her sense of place, home, and the formative environments in which she thrives. This collection features Stewart’s signature style, where she applies oil paint in bold strokes utilising brushes and oil sticks, creating a spirited sense of movement. By layering vibrant colours of multiple shades, she builds delicate texture that characterise her work. Stewart’s subject matter ranges from the open country of her childhood to the abundant tracts of native flora and diverse species of birds surrounding her studio and home in regional Victoria. These iconic Australian landscapes ground her and serve as a daily reminder that life is rich with opportunities.
