Jody Rosen
Biography
South African born Jody Rosen immigrated to Australia in 1986. Armed with her Diploma in Fine Arts from South Africa, she latter gained a MArt in painting from UNSW, Sydney. Rosen has always been passionate about art and moving to Sydney has a significant influence on her art practice. The Australian colour, light and style injected her work with a new energy. These themes and energies resonate in her most recent body of work, Shifting Landscapes that evoke the immense natural beauty of the Blue Mountains. The series of landscapes espouses intuition with well-honed technique, while nodding to Rosen’s trans-national homes and travels. Typical to Rosen’s style, Shifting Landscapes is deeply embedded with personal memory, optimism and an enduring love of travel.
