Jenny Hall
Artist Statement
My artworks are a culmination of a lifetime of observing and absorbing the interplay of light, wind and colour on water. I have rarely lived far from waterways or the ocean, so my focus has continued as ‘plein air’ drawings and paintings in watercolour and inks, which depict these watery worlds. The emerging artworks are layers of memories and sensations, surprises and contrasts, as surfaces meet, corrode, sink and bubble. The interplay between the organic and geometric, natural and man-made, fluid and static. The EDGES.
