Erika Beck FRAS

Biography – Erika Beck – Artist
Croatian born Sydney based artist Erika Beck enjoys a rewarding artistic career in Australia working predominantly with gestural abstraction for over 40 years. Erika was trained in Europe whilst living in France, England and Germany before she permanently settled in Sydney. She further her art studies at the National Art School of NSW and has since been exhibiting her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Australia and Europe.
Beck has won numerous prestigious art prizes and awards throughout her career. She is a Fellow of the Royal Art Society in Sydney and was awarded ‘Medal of Distinction Award’ by the Society in 2018. Her series of work, ‘Forces of Nature’ was selected to show at the Mosman Art Gallery ‘In Profile’ display in 2015, among other achievements. In 2023 the Rotary Club of Mosman awarded Beck a “Paul Harris Fellowship Medal” for her services to the community.
