Born in Malaysia to Scots and Australian parents, Tweedie lives in Sydney while pursuing his artistic career and dormant passion for drawing and painting. His love of clouds and vibrant colours come from the Malay jungle. He then virtually lived in the National Gallery and Tate while officially undergoing a UK arts degree. After a period as a mining engineer and exploring the rich earth colours and ochres of the WA outback, he relocated to Sydney and finally discover its wonderful, contemporary-classical art schools. He completed four years formal training at Julian Ashton in the Rocks and the Royal Art School at Lavender Bay. He also has had the wonderful opportunity to do not once but four times of artist residency with Studio Escalier in France.
